Research Interests
Systematics, taxonomy, biogeography, biodiversity, and life history of Lepidoptera, especially the Hesperioidea, Nymphalidae, and Castniidae. Current research efforts concentrate on biodiversity inventories and revisionary studies of neotropical taxa, especially endemic genera of the West Indies and the Caribbean basin, focusing on morphological features and integrating molecular, ecological and behavioral studies and observations when applicable. These investigations provide clues and/or supportive data to our understanding of the higher taxonomic categories and the evolutionary history of the Lepidoptera.
