Public Exhibit Opening – Grossology
Sept. 27, 2008 - Jan. 11, 2009

Explore the science behind the mushy, oozy, crusty, scaly and other "gross" things that occur in the human body everyday in the exhibition Grossology: The (Impolite) Science of the Human Body. Based on the children's book Grossology by Sylvia Branzei, the exhibition uses visitors' instinctive interest in "gross" substances to inform them about the incredible processes of the human body. Sophisticated animatronics and imaginative hands-on activities show the good, the bad and the downright ugly about runny noses, body odor, bad breath, pimples, the digestive system and many other functions. $7.50 adults; $6.50 Florida residents; $6 seniors and students; $5.50 youth; Museum members FREE!
