President Carter Visit
On December 28,
2004, President James Earl Carter brought his wife Rosalynn and all
their children and most of their grandchildren for a private tour of
the Calusa Heritage Trail at the Randell Research Center.
Flanked by security and buffeted by chilly winter breezes, the group
spent about an hour touring the various features of Pineland site.
The images below were taken by Art Schmidt during the tour.
