Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program

The Charlotte Harbor National Estuary Program is dedicated to improving the environmental integrity of the Charlotte Harbor estuary by preserving, restoring, and enhancing seagrass beds, coastal wetlands, barrier beaches, and functionally related uplands; reducing sources of pollution; providing proper freshwater inflow; developing a strategy for public participation and education; and developing and implementing a harbor-wide management plan.

The Great Calusa Blueway

The Randell Research Center is a designated stop on the Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail, a 190-mile marked canoe and kayak trail that meanders through Lee County, Florida's, coastal waters and inland tributaries.


The Trail of Florida's Indian Heritage

The Trail of Florida's Indian Heritage, Inc. is a nonprofit network of archaeological sites, history museums, heritage interpreters and county, state, and national parks working together with the mission: To promote responsible site visitation and public education of Florida's Indian heritage.
