The Indian Pond site, in western Columbia County, north Florida, is a 17th century First Spanish period site. It is located west of Lake City one kilometer north of the well-known McKeithen Weeden Island site and 39 kilometers south of the Georgia state line.
Since its discovery in 1987, the site has been investigated in a series of projects supported at times by the Florida Museum of Natural History, Thomas University, and the Florida Division of Historical Resources.
