Interdisciplinary Collaborations
The Biodiversity Institute Think Tank will be organized to provide a physical space for interaction among scientists, conservationists, educators, journalists, lawyers, and policy makers to identify knowledge gaps and develop new collaborations, proposals, and solutions to Grand Challenge problems in biodiversity. The scope of initiatives to be developed will be broad but targeted toward problem solving. The following are examples of ongoing and future projects led by researchers at the FLMNH that illustrate the potential of the Institute to spearhead cutting-edge research and engage multiple colleges and units across the university and elsewhere to produce information of use to science and society.
