Join Melanie Peter, known for her portrait, figure and landscape painting, as she teaches a drawing class at the Florida Museum of Natural History. Enjoy a relaxing evening as you lose yourself in a fossil still life, while honing an essential science skill: observation. $50 members, $65 non-members. Please bring an old cotton or other soft cloth rag. All other materials are included.

Discover "Wild" Gardening

Gardening is a wonderful hobby that surrounds you with natural beauty, but creating your own garden can get expensive. Learn the basics of making effective cuttings from a variety of species to propagate your plants. Enjoy a guided, informative tour of the Butterfly Rainforest and discover how the Museum creates its gardens. With horticulturist Scott Simpson's instruction, a few plants can develop into a rich and butterfly-friendly garden. $57 members, $73 non-members. Fee includes supplies.
