Changes to Commercial and Recreational Groundfish Management Measures Take Effect

NOAA Fisheries Service has announced inseason adjustments to the 2005-2006 management measures for Pacific Coast groundfish. These changes are effective December 2005 through February 2006; management measures for the remainder of 2006 will be proposed for public review and comment in January.

Recreational fisheries in California, Oregon, and Washington are affected by these changes. This rule also affects the limited entry trawl fishery, the limited entry fixed gear fishery, and the open access commercial fishery. Please consult the final rule. for details. New trip limit tables are also provided.
