Notification of U.S. Fish Quotas and Effort Allocation

Fish quotas and an effort allocation are available for harvest by U.S.
fishermen in the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) Regulatory Area,
effective January 1 through December 31, 2006. Expressions of interest regarding the
U.S. 3L shrimp quota allocation and the 3M shrimp effort allocation will be accepted
through December 29, 2005. Expressions of interest regarding U.S. fish quota allocations
for other species (including redfish, squid and 3M shrimp) will be accepted throughout 2006.
Procedures for obtaining authorization from NOAA Fisheries Service are specified in this
notice.
