Based on recommendations from the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission and public comments received earlier this year, NOAA Fisheries has announced its intent to prepare an environmental impact statement (EIS) to analyze the impacts on the human environment of potential revisions to federal Atlantic striped bass regulations for federal waters. NOAA Fisheries will discuss and take comments at public meetings during November and December 2003.
