In cooperation with the Pacific Fishery Management Council, NOAA Fisheries has announced its intention to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for 2005-2006 Pacific Coast groundfish fishery specifications and management measures on the human environment. A public scoping meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 2, 2003 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This scoping session will coincide with the Council meeting and will occur at the same location, the Hilton San Diego/Del Mar, 15575 Jimmy Durante Blvd., Del Mar, California 92014- 1901 (858-792-5200). Written comments will be accepted at the Council office through November 14, 2003. A document summarizing issues and alternatives will be made available on the Council's Web site at www.pcouncil.org.
