This graph indicates that white/Caucasian peoples utilize the ocean more often than other races, increasing their likelihood for a shark interaction. This is a reflection of social differences among races. For example, aquatic sports such as swimming, diving, surfing, and boogie boarding are more popular among Caucasians than any other race.
