Elasmobranch research, education and conservation initiatives at the Florida Museum of Natural History are supported by the Dorion-Springer Endowment. Through the generosity of Robert C. Dorion, the Dorion-Springer Endowment was established in 1993 in honor of the late Stewart Springer, a world-renowned student of elasmobranch biology. Stew was a research associate at the Florida Museum of Natural History and a longtime friend of Mr. Dorion. We greatly appreciate Mr. Dorion's commitment to the Museum and this fascinating group of animals.
