These examples of polychrome majolica were produced after the late 18th century in a variety of centers in Mexico, including Oaxaca and Guanajuato as well as Mexico City and Puebla. They were considered unidentified by Florence and Robert Lister. Many are similar to bit not precisely conforming to published descriptions of nineteenth century Mexican majolicas published in Barnes and May (1972) Cohen- Williams (1992) Seifert (1977) and Williams and Cohen-Williams (2004).
