Although the glaze is well bonded, it tends to be of uneven thickness, nearly showing through to the paste in some places on the vessel, and quite thick in others.

This variety of undecorated Spanish white majolica is not formally described in the literature, but was collected by the Listers at Puente de Arzobispo, Talavera, Spain, and designated as Talavera White in their collection.
