According to the Go Open Source web site,
Go_Open was the first television series dedicated to Open Source Software. The television series aired in South Africa as part of a campaign to promote open source.
The campaign is now over, but we encourage you to visit the Go Open Source web site for more information:
We have mirrored the original videos here, as well as converted them to video formats that might be
useful to people on common computing platforms.
Our goal was to make them easily viewable in the most common media players without requiring additional video codecs.
The videos were downloaded from the Internet Archive in .ogm (ogg media) format.
We converted the videos into .mpg, .mov, and .wmv using ffmpeg on Linux and MMConvert on Windows.
