Installing FC1 over the network using kickstart scripted installs



This page is just the framework. We have not yet followed this procedure to completion.

Installing over the network

When booting from the Fedora CD, enter the following at the boot: prompt.

boot:  linux askmethod
This will prompt for the installation type (FTP, HTTP, ...).

Customizing the install

There is a program named ksconfig that helps to create a custom ks.cfg file.

The ks.cfg file can be loaded from the boot: prompt during setup. 
ks=ftp://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/path_to_config_file/ks.cfg
