FAMILY:
A. mississippiensis
C. acutus
G. gangeticus
DICHOTOMOUS KEY |
The head of an adult slender-snouted crocodile, in which the shape of the jaw which lends the crocodile its name can be seen, more markedly than in juvenile animals. As in other slender-snouted crocodilians, this jaw shape is normally an indication of a diet consisting primarily of fish (although these animals are opportunistic and take a variety of prey if available).
