Burt, an extremely large, adult saltwater croc from Darwin, in Northern Territory, Australia. Saltwater crocodiles are the largest of all the crocodilian species, and exaggerated reports of massive individuals of both this species and Crocodylus niloticus were commonplace a few decades ago. Although the saltwater crocodile has been reported to exceed 27 feet in the wild, individuals over 17 feet are rare, and considered extremely large.
