Crocodylus porosus
Gomek was one of the largest saltwater crocodiles in captivity (St. Augustine Alligator Farm, Florida),
and measured around 18.1 feet when he died in March 1997 aged between 70 and 90 years. A short bony ridge extends from the front of each eye socket in this species, and this is visible in the photograph.
