![]() The shape of the skull in Cuvier's dwarf caiman is short and blunt in hatchlings. However, once the animal begins to grow - as seen in this relatively large juvenile / small sub-adult - the skull becomes somewhat longer and more pointed than the typical caiman shape. Photograph © John White
