Indricotherium, the "Beast of Baluchistan," was the largest known land mammal. It resided in Asia during the Oligocene.	When discovered by an American Museum crew in Mongolia, all that remained of this Indricotherium was its four feet.
Oligocene horses remained fairly small. For example, Mesohippus was only about 2 feet tall at the shoulders.
