Fla. Museum accepting vendor applications for ButterflyFest 2007

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- The Florida Museum of Natural History will host ButterflyFest Oct. 13-14 at the University of Florida Cultural Plaza and is now accepting applications for festival vendors and exhibitors.
There is no charge for non-profit displays or exhibits. The fee for plant and food vendors is 25 percent of gross sales minus sales tax. All other merchandise vendors pay $150 for registrations postmarked by July 2. After July 2 through Sept. 12, the cost is $200. Spaces are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
Throughout the weekend, a variety of activities will be offered for all ages including crafts and demonstrations that will teach the basics of butterfly gardening and identification. ButterflyFest will feature on-stage entertainment, field trips and tours and a variety of vendors offering butterfly and garden gifts, plants, food and exhibits by non-profit organizations.

The Florida Museum of Natural History is Florida's state natural history museum, dedicated to understanding, preserving and interpreting biological diversity and cultural heritage. It is located near the intersection of Southwest 34th Street and Hull Road in the University of Florida Cultural Plaza in Gainesville. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Butterfly Rainforest admission is $8.50 for adults ($7.50 Fla. residents) and $4.50 for children ages 3-12.
