Learn about 'Science of Love' at Fla. Museum this Valentine's Day

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- The Florida Museum of Natural History will host "The Science of Love," an evening filled with delectable desserts and good humor, from 5-9 p.m. Feb. 14 as part of the "Museum Nights" program.

Learn about the animal side of dating as psychologist Shauna Springer explains the thought process behind expressions and experiences of love and courtship during "The Psychology of Love" at 7 p.m.

"Museum Nights" are held on select Thursday evenings while the University of Florida is in session at the Florida Museum and Harn Museum of Art, and are sponsored by UF Student Government. Enjoy unique entertainment, food and fun during extended museum hours, 5 - 9 p.m. These events are co-sponsored by UF Student Government.

The Florida Museum of Natural History is Florida's state natural history museum, dedicated to understanding, preserving and interpreting biological diversity and cultural heritage. It is located near the intersection of Southwest 34th Street and Hull Road in the University of Florida Cultural Plaza in Gainesville. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Butterfly Rainforest admission is $8.50 for adults ($7.50 Fla. residents) and $4.50 for children ages 3-12.
