Fla. Museum begins "Wigglers and Walkers" preschool series Feb. 20

GAINESVILLE, Fla. --- The Florida Museum of Natural History will offer its monthly preschool series "Wigglers and Walkers" at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 20 for children ages 2-5. This month's program is "Lake Lodgings."

Preschool children and their adult chaperones will learn about museum exhibits through stories, crafts and other age-appropriate activities led by museum docents and staff.

Additional "Wigglers and Walkers" programs this spring include "Dirt Dwellings" March 19 and "Tree Houses" April 16. Class registration is $4 for members and $5 for non-members for each adult and child pair; there is a $2 per each additional child. No pre-registration is required. The Florida Museum of Natural History is Florida's state natural history museum, dedicated to understanding, preserving and interpreting biological diversity and cultural heritage. It is located near the intersection of Southwest 34th Street and Hull Road in the University of Florida Cultural Plaza in Gainesville.
