"Love Letters," a play by A. R. Gurney, was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III, sit side by side at tables and read various notes, cards, and correspondence that reveal, over a 50-year period, their hopes, dreams, disappointments, victories, and defeats.
Inspired performances are given by Paul F. Miller, Jr., playing Ladd, and Shane Swigert, playing Gardner. Admission is $15 per person. Advance tickets are on sale at the Gift Shop, Calusa Heritage Trail, 13810 Waterfront Drive, Pineland. Tickets must be picked up at the gift shop prior to the event. Due to limited seating and the expectation of a sell-out, we cannot hold tickets unless a credit card number is provided. For further information, call 239-283-2157.
The play begins at 7:30 PM. Please plan to arrive by 7:00 PM to claim your seats. Seating is limited, and no one will be allowed in after the show starts, either at the beginning or after intermission--no exceptions.
