Teacher Workshop - Project Archaeology

Location: Classroom, Calusa Heritage Trail
“Project Archaeology: Investigating Shelter” is a supplementary curriculum for grades 3 through 5. Participants in this two-day workshop (Saturday, Oct. 13 and Saturday, Oct. 20) will receive archaeology education guides that take students through an archaeological investigation, including accounts from oral history, use of primary documents, and interpreting the archaeological record. The workshop will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., is free, and reservations are first-come, first-serve with a cap of 25. Public, private, and home school educators are eligible to participate.
