Community Group Visits & Tours

group tour Community groups include all faith-based organizations, business organizations, after-school programs, summer camps and other civic groups.

Community Group Tours

Available Monday - Saturday. Two-week advance reservations required. Last tour begins at 3 p.m.

Butterfly Rainforest Guided Tour

$4 per person (in addition to admission)

This tour is led by a Butterfly Rainforest staff member and lasts approximately 30 to 45 minutes. Information provided covers butterfly identification, the life cycle, nectar plants and other food sources in the landscaping, and Rearing Laboratory operations. Guests will gain a much more in-depth understanding of butterfly behaviors exhibited in the Rainforest, as well as receive fun facts and answers to any butterfly-related questions they may have.


Butterfly Rainforest VIP Guided Tour (6-12 individuals)

$20 per person (includes cost of admission)

The VIP tour is led by our Vivarium Specialist and lasts approximately one hour. The tour begins with the Wall of Wings and brief information about the McGuire Center's collections, and continues into the Butterfly Rainforest with butterfly identification, information about the life cycle, nectar plants and other food sources in the landscaping. The VIP tour finishes with a behind the scenes look in the Rearing Laboratory and information about its operations. Guests will gain a much more in-depth understanding of butterfly behaviors exhibited in the Rainforest, as well as receive fun facts and answers to any butterfly-related questions they may have.
