Volunteering - Juniors

Junior Volunteers

Junior Volunteers Tweens and teens age 12 to 17 work alongside Museum staff throughout the summer, sharing programs and exhibits with visitors and public program participants. A variety of positions are available, including discovery cart attendant, discovery room assistant, camp teacher's assistant, puppeteers, and more. It's easy to make new friends who love the Museum just like you do. This is also a great opportunity to learn about the "behind the scenes" work necessary to present programs and events. All junior volunteers are trained and supervised.

Junior Volunteer Program - How to Apply

The Junior Volunteer Program runs on an annual calendar which begins in March each year, when 12 to 17 year-olds apply to volunteer for the coming summer.
The program for 2009 is CLOSED, and applications are no longer being accepted.

Application information for the Summer 2010 Junior Volunteer Program will be available on this website during early March, 2010. The program is very popular, so applicants are encouraged to note all deadlines and requirements to ensure consideration of your application.
