Night of Wild Music
Night of Wild Music
Friday, July 15 | 6:30-9 p.m.

Enjoy free musical performances by Dee Torrent, Deezy Pete, and the Florida League of Indeterminate Performance while exploring the Museum's new temporary exhibit "Wild Music: Sounds and Songs of Life."
The Florida League for Indeterminate Performance is a Florida-based ensemble of like-minded composers and performers interested in free improvisation and indeterminate composition. Members design their own instruments (Max/MSP, SuperCollider) and perform using traditional acoustical instruments. While still in its infancy, the league aims to expand its musical vocabulary and perform canonical and contemporary indeterminate works. Recently, the group has performed compositions by Applebaum, Cardew and Stockhausen, as well as improvisations for four laptops.
Admission to "Wild Music" is $8 for adults ($7 Fla. residents w/ ID), $5.50 ages 3-17 and free for Museum members. University of Florida students with a valid Gator 1 ID will also receive free admission during this event . All Museum exhibits, excluding the Butterfly Rainforest, will be open for the event, sponsored by UF Creative B.
