Research Interests
My research interests broadly include speciation, systematics, phylogeography, and biogeography in non-model mammalian systems. I am specifically interested in how genetic and ecological processes can affect the evolutionary history of mammals and I enjoy using a combination of field-based techniques and laboratory methods to address these questions. I’ve worked in a variety of systems, including the southwestern United States, Mexico, and The Bahamas, and on a variety of species that range from being found underground (pocket gophers) to flying overhead (bats).
