Down Like Lead
This exhibit highlights 14 Florida Shipwrecks from 1559 to 1942, ranging from Spanish trading vessels and paddle wheel steamers to 20th century battleships. Major shipping lanes between Europe, Africa and the Americas passed Florida, and its waters became a final resting place for many ships.

The site features more than a dozen Wild Files movies about North Central Florida wildlife, archaeology, paleontology, recreational sites and historical figures.

Images of the Maya
This exhibit illustrates regional variations of garment styles and traces the influence of Classic Maya, Aztec and Spanish cultures on the textile styles of different localities. Intricately woven and embroidered garments from Chiapas are exhibited with Jeffrey J. Foxx's award-winning photographs. Together these provide a rich visual portrayal of the daily and ceremonial life of the Maya of Mexico.
South Florida Aquatic Environments
Take an in-depth tour through three imperiled south Florida ecosystems - the Everglades, Florida Bay, and Florida Keys. Human impacts and conservation issues, as well as the role of museum collections in providing a historical taxonomic and distribution database are included. Test your knowledge with interactive games and learn how you can help preserve these unique habitats.
St. Augustine: America's Ancient City
Much of St. Augustine's history has been uncovered through archaeology in the homesites of its colonial residents, and a great deal of what we know about their often difficult daily lives comes directly from the excavated objects that people made, used, lost and discarded over the centuries. Meet some of those people and trace life and society in Spanish St. Augustine through their artifactual "words from the earth".
