2. Head is large and rounded to bluntly pointed
3. One dorsal fin present
4. Caudal peduncle is short and stout
5. Eye green in life
6. Six saw-like teeth on each side of the lower jaw and nine smaller, serrated, single-cusped teeth on each side of the upper jaw
