Felipe Carvalho Wins Two Student Awards
Felipe Carvalho recently won two awards for his outstanding academic achievements: the Roger Rottmann Memorial Scholarship and the Grinter Graduate School Fellowship.
He received the Roger Rottmann Memorial Scholarship, which is the Florida Chapter
of the American Fisheries Society's most prestigious student
award. Established in memory of Roger Rottmann, one of the first
fisheries biologists ever hired by the State of Florida University
System. This scholarship was established to recognize outstanding
students enrolled in Florida universities and colleges.
Felipe also received the Grinter Graduate School Fellowship, named in honor
of Dr. Linton E. Grinter, who was Dean of the Graduate School from 1952-1969. The intent of the Grinter Fellowship is to facilitate the recruitment of truly exceptional graduate students to the
University of Florida.
