The FPSR is one of four major shark research organizations that make up the National Shark Research Consortium (NSRC). The other collaborating institutions include the Center for Shark Research at Mote Marine Laboratory, the Pacific Shark Research Center at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, and the Virginia Institute of Marine Science.
