General description: Small, clumping herbaceous perennial with grass-like leaves and small yellow-centered purple flowers borne on short stalks. Adaptable and easy to grow. Best in full sun with regular irrigation but will tolerate dry conditions. Maintenance-free once established. Particularly ornamental in clusters or a ground cover. Flowers attract many small butterfly species.
